Last year, humanity had to deal with the Covid-19 nightmare, a pandemic that has affected the entire globe, including Lake Garda. Although 2020 was a year to forget, we must be full of optimism. This year, the Lake, like the Legend of the Phoenix, will be reborn from its ashes.
Today, walking through the streets of Bardolino I had a feeling of contentment, of joy.
Why joy? It is the city of Bardolino that conveys this feeling, while admiring the church of San Severo and while walking along the lake towards the port, I realized that one cannot help but fall in love with Bardolino.
Worthy of note during my walk was to discover the beautiful Carrara Bottagisio Park with its events.
And if all this has not yet convinced you, let’s move on to Wine. I allowed myself a glass of DOC in a beautiful Osteria in the center … A memo for all of you: this year, from 30 September to 4 October, the “Bardolino Grape and Wine Festival” will be held in Bardolino. You can taste the “Bardolino Classico”, “Superiore” but also the “Chiaretto”. The “Chiaretto” even has its own festival, the “Palio del Chiaretto”, an event that has now become one of the main Italian events dedicated to rosé wine. Between “Classico DOC” and “Spumante DOC”, I cannot express a preference, I love both of them!
And speaking of typical products, it would not be right not to tell you about the Garda oil, an oil known throughout the world for its high quality. In Bardolino you can visit the Olive Oil Museum which will take you on a historical journey covering all the stages of the production of this magnificent specialty.
I hope that at this point I have managed to convince you to visit Bardolino for the first time, or maybe to come back soon, as soon as possible. Our beautiful port on the Venetian shore of Garda.
In the meantime, I dedicate some shots taken in his daily life.
